The five kids from brazil

One day on Jan.23,2008,we,the Global Gardeners at Eugene Field Elementary, met five people from Brazil.Their names were Vinicius, Danielle, Wesley, Naldo, and Lais. They are the only people I've met that come from Brazil and they left a giaganticly fantastic impression of the Brazilians.I think they're great! If I ever get to pick a place I'd like to visit I'd pick Brazil.I'd love to see my grown up friends once more.I'd spend two weeks there having fun, learning and I would get the best out of everything. On that day we gave a tour of our school. The person we gave a tour to was Naldo. He was really fun.I met all of the others ,they were also fun.I got to know them very well. When they came they were the bomb!I accualy really like them. They are cool!If my friends are reading, please come again! We love you!

Global Gardens has changed a lot since the time we started. From all we been through and if we didn't even have Global Gardens we never would have met other people. We are a family now and we care for each other, we share with each other, and we even show respect, care, love and peace. Now if you had respect others then you should remember they will show respect to you so remember just be yourself. Sincerely,
Alexis Franco

Japanese gardens by Junior

Welcome to global gardens we are trying to get plants from all around the world. We have a lot of the flowers and vegetables, and some fruit from the United States of America.

I do not know if we have got any gardens as beautiful as the ones in Japan. There are a lot famous gardens in Japan and in Japan the gardens look wild but very neat.

5th grade Global Gardener Marcus

Have you been to Global Gardens? Global Gardens is a fun place to be. You can make your own garden and grow your own things. This program is free. You can grow fruits and vegetables. When its winter you can prepare your self for Spring and in my opinion is the best time for plants to grow. Its very fun and easy. In fall you can grow pumpkins and every thing that grows in fall. This is a nonprofit organisation. Remember Gardening is not just what we do it is who we are.

global gardens is special by kyle, 4th grade

we love you and may you always have a smile on your face. We hope your dreams come true.

How to make a sign by the Global Gardeners

This is a list to make a sign that the global gardeners came up with.
1. Purpose- peace, to say something that we speak from our hearts as one, expressions, cooperation, to teach a lesson, to create a feeling, to label things.
2. Size.
3. Make a design. Sketch it on paper, plan it out, decide the colors.
4. Paint background.
5. Sketch sign on painted wood.
6. Paint sign carefully, but have fun too.
7. Seal it for protection.

Sneak Peek By Nikki

Okay.We have wood donated by the Hille Foundation, and we are going to make signs. Here are some of our ideas on purpose...

Brenda- They should show peace.
Nikki- They should say something that we speak from our hearts as one.
Brenda-They should should show expressions...
to create a feeling!
Tamara-and then there's labels...

And now for the size picking...
Ali-make a design!...And pick a size!..Oh,and we need to sketch out,plan it out,the colors...
Now the back ground...

Mrs.Oakley-if we paint the back ground really fast, what will happen?
Ms.Smith-like with spinners.if we just really quickly throw a spinner together,
then do a spinner really slowly and follow the steps, which one will work better and look better?
Ali-the one you made slower!
Mrs.Oakley-If I took a brush and painted the back ground really fast, then I immediately painted the letters on,what would happen?
Tamara-the colors would bleed through?
Mrs.Oakley-Yes!
Nikki-And you might have a blob of paint on one part, and barely any on another part!
Mrs.Oakley-Yeah!

And that concludes our sneak peek of our top secret mission!!!
